Nikon has extended its range of f/1.8 prime lenses with the all-new AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G ED, price tag AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G: £629.99 / €849.
Nikon says this FX-format lens is lighter and more compact than its siblings and offers shallow depth of field, smooth bokeh, clear low-light images, a bright viewfinder image and a close focus distance of 0.23m.
Designed for shooting landscapes, architecture and street photography, the 24mm f/1.8 optical construction includes 12 elements in nine groups.
The design also incorporates two extra-low-dispersion (ED) glass elements, two aspherical lens elements, and Nikon’s Nano Crystal Coat.
The AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G ED is supplied with a bayonet lens hood and a soft lens pouch.
